FC Barcelona Prepares to Secure Lamine Yamal's Future with Key Renewal
Deco, the club's football director, assures that the young talent's renewal is on the right track and denies rumors of exorbitant salary demands.

The FC Barcelona is in the final stretch of negotiations to renew Lamine Yamal, the jewel of its academy who has dazzled everyone with his talent and maturity at just 17 years old. In a recent interview, Deco de Souza, the club's football director, expressed optimism about the young forward's future, stating that "the renewal is on the right track".

Deco, who has closely followed Yamal's development, highlighted his exceptional maturity for his age, even comparing him to his own son. "We must enjoy his talent, as it is rare to see a player with such personality at that age", the executive commented, also emphasizing the importance of the player living his youth and feeling happy at the club.

Regarding the speculation about Yamal's salary demands, Deco was clear: "Lamine has not asked to be the highest-paid player in the squad". This statement aims to dispel rumors suggesting that the young footballer was demanding astronomical figures to continue at Barça. "What really matters to him is having a favorable environment to continue growing as a player", Deco added.

The club is working on a proposal that could extend Yamal's contract until 2030, with a release clause of 1 billion euros. As for his salary, it is expected to be around 8 million euros net per season, placing him among the highest-paid players in the team, although still below figures like Robert Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong.

The renewal of Lamine Yamal is not only crucial for Barça's present but also represents an investment in the club's future. With a market value estimated at 180 million euros, Yamal has established himself as one of the most valuable assets in world football, only surpassed by Haaland and Vinicius.

The interest from other clubs, such as PSG, has only increased the urgency to secure his continuity at Barça. However, both the player and his entourage have made it clear that his desire is to remain at the club that has seen him grow. "There is no better place for him than Barça", Deco concluded, reaffirming the club's intention to keep its young star.

The upcoming July 13 will mark an important milestone in Lamine Yamal's career, as he will turn 18 and an official announcement of his renewal is expected. With the sports management aligned around his future, it seems that Barça is about to secure its new star, who promises to shine in the world football spotlight.
