FC Barcelona Prepares for a Summer of Signings with Joan García's Arrival
The blaugrana club begins its planning for the next season with the addition of goalkeeper Joan García and aims to strengthen its attack.

The FC Barcelona has taken an important step in its planning for the upcoming season with the signing of Joan García, a young goalkeeper from Sallent. This signing marks the beginning of a summer that promises to be intense in terms of transfer market movements.

In a recent interview with Globoesporte at his sports complex Arena Deco Beach in Indaiatuba, Brazil, the Barça's sporting director, Deco, shared his vision for the team's future. "I believe we have a good balance, both in defense and in midfield. There are players who will still grow, like Gavi, who is returning from injury and will improve a lot with next year's preseason," Deco stated.

The former player also highlighted the importance of keeping key players fit, mentioning Marc Bernal, who suffered an injury at the start of the season, and Araújo and Dani Olmo, with whom they are working to prevent future injuries. However, Deco acknowledged that the attack is the area where the club might need more reinforcements: "In attack, it will depend on what we can do in the market. It may be the only area where we identify that we need one player or another."

Regarding the club's financial situation, Deco expressed optimism about the economic improvement under the presidency of Joan Laporta. "Barcelona had a significant financial crisis at the beginning of Laporta's management; it was spending more than it was earning. That's something you have to correct over time," he explained. He also highlighted the bold decision to renovate Camp Nou, which has temporarily reduced the stadium's capacity but promises to increase the club's revenues in the long run.

"Today, the club has signed one of the largest contracts with Nike. We will return to play at Camp Nou with a capacity of 65,000, and the following year, practically at 100%. The reconstruction process is underway," Deco added, who also lamented the strict financial fair play regulations that complicate the situation further.

On the other hand, LaLiga president Javier Tebas also commented on Barcelona's situation, stating that the club "knows what it needs to do to make big signings." Tebas is confident that Barça will meet the necessary requirements to operate normally in the transfer market and hopes they will attract the players they desire.

With a summer full of expectations ahead, FC Barcelona is preparing to take decisive steps in its search for new talents to strengthen its squad and return the club to the top of European football.
