Laporta shines at Marxa Culer, a tribute to Barcelona and Montserrat
FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta becomes the star of an emotional weekend in Montserrat, where the Marxa Culer was held to celebrate the club's 125th anniversary.

In an event that brought together hundreds of Barça fans, Joan Laporta left his mark on the Marxa Culer, a walk commemorating the 125th anniversary of FC Barcelona and the millennium of the Monastery of Montserrat. This weekend, the club president joined the Barcelonistas on a journey that was both a physical challenge and a celebration of the culé spirit.

The day began with participants departing from the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, where some brave souls ventured to cover over 46 kilometers, while others opted for the shorter version of just over 6 kilometers from Collbató. At 8:00 AM, the walkers of the short route began their trek, and Laporta did not hesitate to accompany them for the first few kilometers of this exciting adventure.

Once at the Abbey of Montserrat, the president was warmly welcomed by fans, who seized the opportunity to capture the moment with selfies and cheers. In a gesture reflecting his closeness to the fans, Laporta even participated in a video call with a relative of a bastoner, promising that next season would be even better than the last.

The Marxa Culer was not just a sporting event, but also a cultural celebration. During the day, the titles won by both the men's and women's teams of Barça in the 2024/25 season were showcased, and there were dances and entertainment provided by the Comparsa Blaugrana. The presence of board members such as Elena Fort and Josep Ignasi Macià also added an institutional touch to the festivities.

The event will culminate in a ceremony where Laporta and the Reverend Father Abbot Manel Gasch will preside over a tribute that will include a video about the historic bond between Barça and Montserrat. Without a doubt, a weekend that will be etched in the memory of all participants and reaffirms FC Barcelona's commitment to its roots and its fans.
